Lift Mechanic install, repair and maintain elevators, escalators, moving walkways, and other lifts. Minimum requirements for this occupation include diploma, relevant experience and registratiion.

Duties
review blueprints and diagrams to determine the equipment needed for installation or repair
install and fix elevator doors, cables, motors, and control systems
check malfunctions in brakes, motors, switches, and control systems
join electrical wiring to control panels and electric motors
adjust counterweights, door mechanisms, and safety controls
adhere with building codes and safety regulations
